"Cycling is a good way to stay fit."
Darwin, Tibshelf Pupil
Museums are treasure troves. They're brimming with knowledge and heritage.
When asked, Tibshelf school staff said the following were their favourites:
"The National Space Museum."
"The National Videogame Museum in Sheffield is a gamer's paradise. You can play old Nintendo games, see how games are built, and there's loads of games I'd never even heard of until now."
"Leeds Armoury. It’s brilliantly displayed with massive action models. It even has a life-sized elephant. There are people demonstrating weapons and armoury….even how Henry VIII put on his kingly suit of armour. It’s an entertaining day out, and they even have live jousting in the summer. Best of all, it was FREE entry!"
"You could drive past the Harley Gallery and not realise it's there. It's free, has tonnes of activities for families, and you can walk to Creswell Crags from there as well."
"The Natural History & Nottingham Industrial Museums at Wollaton Hall are my favourites. Wollaton Hall itself featured as Wayne Manor in Batman – The Dark Knight Rises too. What’s not to love!"
"The Sensation Exhibition in London."
“As you stumble into the cave, you find some traps in your way. You narrowly get past them."
Mrs Lee and Mr Martin were ecstatic to see a classroom heaving with enthusiastic pupils as debate club opened its doors for the summer term.
It happens to the best of us. Pens run out. Pencils break. Rulers go missing.
With that in mind, Tibshelf Community School has launched a stationery shop to support its students, ensuring they have all the equipment they need.
Students can pick up anything they need in a pinch. There's even maths kits and calculators.
Enrichment trips are a great way to enhance learning and create unforgettable experiences. Students forge friendships, develop team-building skills, and have a chance to learn more about the world outside a classroom.

We are delighted to have achieved the Bronze standard in the Building Effective Relationships Together (BERT) award. We firmly believe in the importance and value of high quality Personal Development within school to support the progression and wellbeing of our students. We continuously work hard to ensure our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) offer is of high-quality, and we have worked collaboratively with staff, parents, governors and students to ensure that we have an effective Personal Development curriculum. We continue to improve and adapt our Personal Development offer to ensure we meet the ever-changing needs of our students. We are very proud that we have been recognised for our work on Relationships and Sex Education, and we now look forward to working towards the Silver standard.

Fantastic results for students at Tibshelf Community School
Congratulations to the class of 2024.
What a wonderful evening of celebration together, and we wish you every happiness in life.
Amazing news - two of our Y7 students who competed at the track and field championships on 7th July achieved District records in their events! Faith B who won the 100m sprint and shot put achieved a District record in the 100m, whilst Jake B won the 300m race and achieved a District record. Fantastic effort from both students!

Our year 8 students designed an environmentally friendly school on an Island, going on to create a model.
They were also tasked with writing a 12-30 page report detailing how the school would work, presenting this to a panel of judges.
Our students worked through their dinner time over a 3-month period, with fantastic commitment and energy.
We attended an award ceremony at Loughborough university, where the students won the judges choice 'project of the year'
