As usual, results day is a mix of emotions. Excitement. Nerves. Many of us remember the day for years to come.  

So as pupils opened those envelopes, it was lovely to see families and staff standing by their side. We are incredibly proud of the results achieved by our students this year.

They reflect years of hard work, resilience and commitment. Today is a special occasion as students embark on their first steps to the next chapter of their lives.

Many pupils have plans to go to sixth form to get their A-Levels.

"I'm going to sixth form to study Geography, Politics and Business."

"I'm going to St Marys sixth form to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics."

Some pupils are off to college for their next set of qualifications.

"I'm going to study engineering at West Notts College."

Others have other grand plans in the form of apprenticeships, or diving straight into the world of work. Some pupils are already travelling as far as the coast to begin their careers.

"I'm doing an apprenticeship in hair dressing. I've already been working there since March, but now I'm there full time."

Congratulations to all our students. Whatever career path they decide to pursue, we wish them every success and happiness.

Last but certainly not least, we'd also like to take a moment to thank the staff teams who have worked tirelessly to support this cohort.

They have poured their hearts and souls into helping students achieve their potential, and these results are a testament to their dedication, care and expertise.
