Book Fair Highlights 2026
Two weeks ago, Tibshelf Community School’s Book Fair officially wrapped up.
Launching at the end of September, pupils had a chance to visit the school library during breaks and lunchtimes for two weeks, purchase some of their favourite books, or even try a new title.
The event was co-ordinated by our school librarian, Miss Cooper, alongside student helpers, Harry and Taylor who were pleased to help promote the event around the school.
"I like helping at the library and book fair because I like to volunteer and help other students."
- Harry
Among the sales, the most popular books to come up again and again were ‘Five Nights at Freddie’s’, 'Lottie Brookes’ and ‘The Adventures of Nina Peanut’ with these three titles selling the most copies above all other books.
"I'm a fan favourite when it comes to books. But I also think this is an important opportunity to show leadership skills for my CV."
- Taylor
To give primary school pupils the chance to participate in the Book Fair as well, the team opened their doors for one final night during Open Evening, inviting new readers to discover a love of books, or grab the next book in their favourite series.
“We were honoured to host the Scholastic Book Fair in our school Library. Staff, parents and students have contributed to a grand total of £465.53!
This means that together we raised over £180 in rewards from Scholastic for brand-new books for our school library! What a success!”
- Miss Cooper
Staff at Tibshelf Community School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who supported the book fair. We hope the readers enjoy their new books!
While the book fair is finished at school, this does not mean books are no longer available. Students and their families are welcome to purchase books from Scholastic and continue supporting school libraries by keeping their shelves full for the next generation of young readers.
